Saturday June 20 is the summer solstice and the longest day of the year. This is a particularly potent time as it also falls on the new moon and a solar eclipse (though not visible in North America, we will still feel the effects).
Solstices and eclipses mark times of change and transformation, while new moons are a time for new beginnings and setting intentions. With the magnified energy of these 3 cosmic events, coupled with the emotional turbulence of the world, it is a powerful time to tap into this planetary potential, listen deeply and observe what emerges from the shadows into the light.
Misako (your guide) has been in the field of Traditional East Asian Medicine (Acupuncture, Qigong, Herbal Medicine, Bodywork) for 16 years. As a woman of color, she is deeply committed to sustaining and fostering the health of folks of color and Indigenous people, while creating a safe container for healing. During this intense time of transition and upheaval, BIPOC participants are encouraged to attend this event.
