Misako Yamamoto
Oregon licensed psilocybin facilitator; offering safe & supported individual and group journeys
Misako is a Japanese-American free spirit; born in Kobe, Japan and raised in Portland, Oregon speaking English & Japanese.
She is the keeper of her family’s ancestral scroll, and her father’s lineage traces back to the 11th century BCE—early roots of Samurai society. She is descended from three generations of maternal ancestors who endured the injustice of wartime incarceration in Japanese American concentration camps during World War II.
Misako's deep connection heritage allows her to draw strength and resilience from her ancestors as they continue to guide her path forward.

Vision
Misako feels called to gently support individuals navigating life transitions, especially those who are finding their voice and place in this world.
Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to serving BIPOC communities, with a particular focus on Asian and Japanese-American individuals seeking healing around cultural identity, intergenerational trauma, and reconnection with ancestral heritage.

the Path...
Misako is a licensed acupuncturist and Qigong practitioner. With nearly 25 years of experience in Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM), she specializes in addressing emotional and spirit-centered imbalances. Her work is rooted in the classical foundations of TEAM and shaped by Daoist, Buddhist, and east Asian shamanic cosmologies, as well as Indigenous Wisdom traditions. Her approach is compassionate, intuitive, and deeply grounded.

The psilocybin-assisted work and licensure is separate from Misako’s acupuncture practice; she will continue both “medicines” independently but believes each can enhance and deepen the therapeutic impact of the other.
