LISA SHULTZ, DSOM, LAc, LMT

Acupuncture, Herbs & Bodywork

Dr. Lisa Shultz is a board certified acupuncturist and herbalist. Since beginning practice in 2022
the focus of her work has been treating patients with chronic illness and pain. Dr. Shultz works
collaboratively with patients to establish and reach healthcare goals to optimize wellbeing She
uses a variety of treatment modalities adapted to what works best for the patient: Chinese and
Japanese style acupuncture, auricular and scalp acupuncture, moxa, cupping, gua sha, sound
healing, essential oils, diet therapy and herbs. Dr. Shultz is a licensed massage therapist and often
uses Shiatsu and Sotai in her work. Since 2010, she has studied Pranic Healing.


Dr. Shultz obtained her Doctor of Science in Oriental Medicine degree from the National
University of Natural Medicine in Portland after a long career working in the high tech industry.
She previously earned her Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a
BSEE from the University of Florida. Dr. Shultz was privileged to preceptor and intern with
Edie Vickers, ND LAc at An Hao Clinc. Her doctoral capstone focused on the use of an ancient
herbal formula in the treatment of diabetic and chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy. Since
2022 she has practiced acupuncture at the Immune Enhancement Project in Portland - a medical
specialty clinic where therapy is offered primarily treating patients who are receiving care for
cancer, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, stroke recovery, chronic pain, and HIV
infection.

 

When outside the office, Dr. Shultz enjoys swimming, hiking, practicing qi gong and yoga, and
visiting farmers markets all around Portland.
