Ryan J Milley, MAcOM, LAc, Dipl OMRyan Milley

Ryan received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Colby-Sawyer College and his Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) Degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM; 2005). Ryan is a Diplomat in Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is certified to practice acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Tuina (Chinese massage), and to teach Qi Gong. After graduating OCOM, Ryan traveled to China for advanced studies in Chinese herbal medicine at the International Training Center at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Ryan received foundational training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and has advanced training in Japanese styles of treatment (meridian therapy, Koshi Balancing, Sawada-style moxibustion, and Sotai Ho). Ryan specializes in orthopedic and sports medicine. To maximize treatment effects, he draws from all of these treatments styles, including motor point release techniques, a form of sports therapy.

Ryan is passionate about Okinawan karate and has continuously practiced/studied Uechi Ryu Karate-Do for over 15 years. When not in clinic, Ryan can be found enjoying the out-of-doors surfing or running at the coast, playing soccer, or skiing & climbing on Mt. Hood.

In addition to his clinical practice, Ryan is an associate Faculty member within the Department of Research in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine at the OCOM. Ryan currently serves as a board member of the Society for Acupuncture Research and has been involved with numerous studies and clinical trials.
